This is beauty and taste, without ifs or buts. Gino Pesce and his family took over the premises, as well as the soaring terraces literally suspended between sky and sea, of what used to be a few years ago the “Orestorante”, not far from the pier. They have transformed the place into a hymn to gluttony with, hospitality, fish cuisine, and the wine; capable of captivating mind and heart, as well as all five senses. While the old location became Bar dei Pesci by Acqua pazza, - open from early morning to late night in the high season, and managed by Ludovica, (daughter of Gino Pesce) and Patrizia Ronca (entrepreneur and dining room coach, assisted by his brother Mario, and the other great cook assisted by her sister Lucia). The new location welcomes the new rooms, which are divided between two floors for the actual restaurant and then three more rooms for the cocktail bar, run by the young but very experienced barman Silverio Migliaccio who will delight you with the art of drink mixing. Last but not least, for those who just arrived in Ponza and wanted to indulge in a well-deserved rest after experiencing a dazzling breakfast, an invigorating swim, a tickling aperitif, and a sparkling dinner. The Pesce family also wanted to dedicate themselves to all those who are arriving exhausted at the end of such a “demanding” day with the recent opening of their B&B, Casa Pesce, which will be a further reason for an unsolvable inner conflict, once the time to leave the island arrives. Besides the mind and spirit, certainly refreshed by living such an experience, it should be remembered that people come to Acqua Pazza mainly for the food; not to worry, gastronomical expectations will not be affected when they begin serving you raw flavors from the sea, two timeless classics (and what sunsets you’ll experience here...) such as the snapper tortello with raw tomato sauce or linguine with sea bass, fennel and lemon; and the tuna and amberjacks that not even Neptune has ever tasted. Simply delicious the desserts, a service up to the task and a very extensive wine list, from which to “fish” to no end.
