Cos’è 50 Top Italy?
È un network per comunicare lo straordinario movimento della cucina
italiana nel mondo: una mappa del mangiare bene in Italia e nel mondo; una guida pensata per gli italiani e per i turisti che in milioni frequentano il nostro Paese o, che in generale, cercano la cucina italiana.
Relazione con i media
50 Top Italy non partecipa ufficialmente a nessuna inaugurazione o pranzi offerti alla stampa, perché ritiene che non siano veritieri della realtà che vive un cliente normale in un qualsiasi giorno. Registriamo aperture e chiusure, nuovi menu, ma tutto ciò che viene comunicato non rientra nei criteri di valutazione. L’eventuale presenza a queste iniziative è da intendersi a titolo esclusivamente personale che non incide minimamente sul giudizio, sempre affidato ad una ispezione anonima.
Relazione con i social
50 Top Italy non risponde alle polemiche sui social perché non lo ritiene terreno adatto di discussione e confronto. Noi parliamo con i giudizi, poi tutti possono dire quello che pensano e giudicarci a loro volta. Ma per noi finisce lì.
Abbiamo però attivato un team di legali che ci tutelerà in ogni sede quando dalla valutazione si passa ad affermazioni palesemente diffamatorie o calunniose, che violano la Legge e che non corrispondono alla realtà (ad esempio la falsità sull’influenza degli sponsor nel determinare la classifica e i premi).
Il sondaggio e le visite anonime
150 esperti gastronomi, con particolare sensibilità verso il mondo della ristorazione italiana, fanno parte del “panel” italiano.
Oltre 200 invece i collaboratori nel resto del mondo che contribuiscono alla creazione della lista dei migliori ristoranti italiani fuori dall’Italia.
Si tratta di esperti a cui è chiesto, con il vincolo di riservatezza e anonimato, di compilare un sondaggio inziale per stilare una classifica provvisoria.
Dopo aver effettuato le visite, si procede ad un nuovo sondaggio di aggiornamento che porta alla classifica definitiva.
Ogni visita è in anonimato e deve essere giustificata dallo scontrino fiscale. Se qualcuno dice di far parte di 50 Top Italy o sta facendo millantato credito o sta facendo male il proprio lavoro, siete pregati di segnalarci ogni episodio, perché verranno presi provvedimenti. Gli ispettori cambiano ogni anno nella proporzione del 20/30%, proprio per tutelare il valore dell’anonimato.
Cosa indica la classifica
Le insegne presenti in 50 Top Italy sono suddivise in categorie, in base alla fascia di prezzo, con una sezione dedicata alle tipologie di locali più ricercati dal grande pubblico.
Sono esclusi i ristoranti che si trovano all’interno di Hotel, Relais, Residenze di Charme, in quanto ad essi è destinata una classifica apposita: 50 Top Italy Luxury.
Il network 50 Top Italy è completamente gratuito e fruibile per tutti i naviganti, tradotto completamente in inglese e integrato ad un servizio di geolocalizzazione.

What is 50 Top Italy?
It is a network to communicate the extraordinary movement of Italian cuisine in the world: a map of eating well in Italy and in the world; a guide designed for Italians and for tourists frequenting our country or, in general, looking for Italian cuisine.
Relationship with the media
50TopItaly does not participate officially in any inaugurations or meals offered to the press because it retains that they do not reflect the reality that a normal patron experiences on any given day. We record openings and closings, new menus and so on, but these elements are not a part of the criteria for assessment. Our eventual presence at these types of initiatives is to be interpreted as personal and individual, and has no bearing whatsoever on evaluation, which is always entrusted to an anonymous inspection.
Relationshop with social media
50TopItaly does not participate in any of the controversy present on social media platforms because it does not believe them to be an appropriate medium for discussion and debate. We talk with the judges. Everyone is free to say what they think and judge us in turn. But for us it ends there. We have, however activated a team of legal experts who will safeguard each case should an evaluation become blatantly defamatory or slanderous, violate the Law, or not correspond to reality (for example, if a sponsor falsely influences the rankings and the awards).
The survey and anonymous visits
150 gastronomic experts, with particular sensitivity towards the world of Italian catering, are part of the Italian “panel”.
In addition, more than 200 collaborators in the rest of the world contribute to the creation of the list of the best Italian restaurants outside Italy.
These are experts who are asked, with the constraint of confidentiality and anonymity, to fill out an initial survey to draw up a provisional ranking.
After having carried out the visits, a new update survey is carried out which leads to the definitive ranking.
Every visit is anonymous and must be justified by a receipt.
If anyone professes to be part of 50TopPizza or is boasting credit thereof, or is doing his or her job badly, we kindly ask you to report the episode so that actions can be taken.
About 20 to 30% of the inspectors change every year in order to ensure anonymity.
What does the ranking indicate?
The brands present in the 50 Top Italy are divided into categories, based on the price range, with a section dedicated to the types of establishments most sought after by the general public.
Restaurants located inside hotels, relais and charming residences are excluded, as a special ranking is assigned to them: 50 Top Italy Luxury.
The 50 Top Italy network is completely free and usable for all surfers, completely translated into English and integrated with a geolocation service.
