A kiosk in Piazza Erculea, in the shadow of the Madonnina, is open from morning to evening, for breakfast, a lunchbreak from work, to sip on a cocktail or for an informal dinner. It is a bistrot with a vaguely bohemian air. The idea of urban gastronomy for Matias Perdomo and his partners, is clearly represented in this locale in the center of Milan. Everything is curated down to the last detail including the tables, constructed from upcycled Venetian mooring posts, and the placeholders realized with ceppo di grè stone. The menu expounds the quality of the raw materials (Northern Ireland oysters, foie gras, anchovies from Cantabrico, Alpeggio cheeses and Zibello salted pork). The combinations inspire curiosity and satisfy the palate. We recommend trying the tartar of the Martini butchers (top quality), pounded with porcini mushrooms, salicornia and hollandaise sauce, the uova alla exit (two soft-boiled eggs immersed in a mousse of potatoes and parmesan, raw cauliflower, vinegar and Iberian prosciutto on top), the revisitation on the classic risotto alla Milanese ( veal shank, parmesan and rice), the diaphragm with plums, wasabi and garlic, and the lamb with oysters and dandelion. The service is impeccable. The dishes are described perfectly by the waitstaff. Quality at affordable prices. Highly recommended.
