In the heart of Naples’ historic center, just a stone’s throw from the bell tower of Santa Chiara, Nives Monda, the hostess, and Potito Izzo, the chef, open these doors every day with character. The cuisine, sourced from excellent ingredients of certified origin, is honest and truly Neapolitan. The short menu, heavily focused on fresh vegetables, reveals a clear philosophy, where authenticity is not a romantic embellishment but respect for the ingredients, enhanced by a touch of cooking that is anything but intrusive. Not to be missed are the pasta, potatoes and provola, with all the indulgence of a home-style soup and well-defined aromas. The starters and main courses are handled with skill, including a particularly noteworthy cutlet with Strega liqueur. The setting and tone of the culinary offering, with lexical references to a divergent way of thinking, reject any standardization, giving the place the character of a space for intellectual reflection. This is evidenced by the literary bench in front of the entrance and the calendar of meetings dedicated to foreign policy and touristification, which find here a space for debate.
