The cuisine at Michele Matera’s restaurant is straightforward, communicative, concrete and speaks through its select raw materials and through the contagious passion of the owner. There are, in fact, some dishes at this restaurant that you absolutely must try: a grande piattto of raw fish which includes tartars and carpaccios of various fresh fish from the daily catch, a flan of baccalà cod, potatoes and sun-dried cherry tomatoes, grilled octopus, calamari, baked cicala and cherry tomatoes, just to name a few. The entire gamut of the proposed dishes from the kitchen is always restrained and satisfying; there is a balance between freshness and elegance, leaving the raw materials to speak for themselves.
