This restaurant where Martina Caruso cooks is inside the historic family hotel. It is a place where you can have some time off from your worries and restore the pleasure of life in the lemon-scented garden or in one of the conversation rooms. Behind this facade of serenity there is an explosive cuisine, full of passion, that brings the sea directly to the plate without the “middle man” as very few in Italy really know how to do. Unforgettable is the incredibly intense Sicilian “bagnacauda” with sea urchins, anchovies and raw oil. The rhythm of the tasting itinerary is compelling, extreme but also delightful. Important to mention among the dishes we tried is, for example, the Mezzi paccheri with squid, tumapersa cheese and crunchy chard. This summarizes the relationship between the Sicilian sea and land better than any other. The seafood main courses are never mundane and the desserts are perfect. Bonuses of this unique experience are given by the exceptional raw materials and the immense wine cellar curated by her brother, Luca, who runs the dining area. He interprets the tradition of Italian hospitality well, being warm, attentive, familiar and very professional!
