Vitantonio è arrivato a Matera dopo una lunga gavetta non priva di soddisfazioni ma sicuramente in un territorio non facile. Qui ha fatto subito Bingo incrociando la sua sapienza tecnica, l'estro creativo che da sempre lo distingue in una caratterizzazione gioiosa e autoironica e il profondo amore per tutto quanto questa terra incontaminata riesce ad esprimere a livello di carni, formaggi, ortaggi, vini. Il locale è ricavato nella roccia e ripreso davvero molto bene con uno chef table di fronte alla cucina e diversi ambienti dove è possibile stare più riservati. Vitantonio propone piatti storici come lo Stoccafisso che ricorda il baccalà con i cruschi o pensati di recente, come i tagliolini del PastoRe, in bianco con guanciale ed erba cipollina. Giochi, ricordi, voglia di stupire si susseguono per tutto il percorso sino al capitolo dei dolci che da solo vale il viaggio. Bella cantina e ottimo e appassionato servizio.

Vitantonio moved to the city of Matera after a long apprenticeship. This is certainly a difficult territory to conquer but it goes without saying, here he was immediately successful. His success is thanks to his technical knowledge, his creative flair that has always distinguished and characterized him in a joyful and self-deprecating way. As well as his deep love for everything that can be considered uncontaminated land. This is all expressed with the meats, cheeses, vegetables, and the wines that have been selected. The restaurant is carved out of the rock and is very well arranged with one table right in front of the kitchen and others positioned in different areas making the atmosphere feel more intimate. Vitantonio offers historical dishes such as the stockfish that recalls cod with bran or more relatively recent dishes, such as tagliolini del PastoRe, with bacon and chives (no tomato). The desire to amaze, the memories, the games, follow one another up to the desserts which alone are worth the journey. Beautiful wine cellar and great and enthusiastic waitstaff.
