The first impression when you enter or sit under the porticoes is that you are in a place that has always existed, even though Osteria Bottega was actually founded in 2005. Daniele Minarelli was ahead of his time, focusing on a place of tradition executed to perfection and, above all, on a meticulous search for the finest ingredients to express the joy and richness of Bologna’s gastronomic tradition. There are the pasta dishes that are simply unmissable, but of course the must-try dishes if you want to say you’ve eaten here are the pigeon and the Bolognese-style cutlet. The selection of cured hams and salumi to start lunch is outstanding, the wine list is excellent, and the service is always warm and never weary of a success that could never grow tiresome. Good wine selection and fair markups, as reflected in the bill.
