Founder Luisa Pandolfi grew up going to restaurants thanks to her family, developed a passion for food, worked in publishing, and is a friend of the great Bob Noto: his drawings are the paintings hanging on the walls, including Gioele, the bull in the restaurant’s logo, which Bob himself named Le Vitel Etonnè, playing on Piedmontese and French. The restaurant officially opened in 2001. Its philosophy is rooted in a direct relationship with producers, the use of Slow Food Presidia, and top-quality ingredients interpreted with great skill. In the entrance room, the open kitchen is on display, with the wine cellar below. The dishes are modern takes on traditional cuisine, executed with care; among them, the capon broth stands out for its extraordinary finesse. On a first visit, one should of course go for the vitello tonnato and the anchovies in green sauce, two evergreen classics of Piedmontese cuisine. The fried dishes are outstanding (brain, quail legs). The wine list is excellent, and the attentive, professional service makes guests feel at ease. We highly recommend it as an ideal gateway into Turin’s lively and rich gastronomic scene.
