Tra i filari del Prosecco Superiore, la Locanda prende il nome da Giocondo – padre di Enrico Canel, che oggi la conduce con Bea, garantendo una continuità familiare che arriva al 1920. Al centro del menu sono le ricette di casa, rilette con garbo. In carta la carne è protagonista: oca arrosto, coniglio in “tecia”, guancia di maiale; non mancano lo schiz dalle lande alpine e le verdure preparate con tocco casalingo. I primi sono di tradizione, giocati su ingredienti stagionali. Le sale interne hanno il tono della vecchia osteria di paese, con opere di artisti locali; d’estate si mangia volentieri in terrazza. Più che la carta dei vini, conta una cantina che ha l’anima del territorio.
Among the vineyards of Prosecco Superiore, the inn takes its name from Giocondo — Enrico Canel’s father — who today runs it with Bea, ensuring a family continuity that dates back to 1920. At the heart of the menu are home-style recipes, reinterpreted with subtlety. Meat takes center stage on the menu: roast goose, rabbit “in tecia,” pork cheek; there is also schiz from the Alpine uplands and vegetables prepared with a homely touch. The first courses are rooted in tradition and built around seasonal ingredients. The indoor dining rooms have the atmosphere of an old village osteria, adorned with works by local artists; in summer, the terrace is the place to eat. More than the wine list, what matters here is a cellar with a true sense of place.
