Servizio accogliente e attento. Si beve bene.
The wood of yesteryear, a subtle nod to the furnishings and table setting, and the deep roots of a family-run business (now in its sixth generation). The Tuscia repertoire is written out on the blackboard, while the day’s dishes are printed and served according to what the market, the kitchen garden, and even the woods have to offer. The setting and atmosphere are comfortable, and you choose guided by stories and recommendations from a menu with few surprises but solid, effective offerings. There’s a platter of cured meats (including a lardo tasting) and Tuscia cheeses, handmade pasta, and locally sourced meats prepared with due care and the wisdom of old recipes. The charcuterie board is rich and varied, with Viterbo’s susianella taking pride of place, a tasty offal-based sausage. Warm, attentive service. Good drinks too.
