Botteghe Antiche is a destination worth the journey more than once, a step back in time through aromas and flavors that stay etched in the heart and mind. The selection of ingredients is meticulous and discerning, and the wine list features 1,000 labels. The atmosphere is welcoming, with an open kitchen. The chef’s signature dish is the donkey meat brasciole with ragù, an extraordinary dish full of flavor. Also worth trying are the lamb chops with roasted potatoes, the selection of mixed appetizers with fried lampascioni, and, for dessert, sporcasmuss, puff pastry with pastry cream, as well as the cheese and dessert trolley, sliced to order. Special mention goes to Stefano’s courtesy, the perfect host, and to his staff.
