Hong Kong continues to be a place of excellence for Italian cuisine in Asia and adds another point of absolute excellence with Estro. Opened in 2021, it is the first restaurant of chef Antimo Maria Merone, originally from Naples, in collaboration with the JIA group. The dining room, with its discreet and refined elegance, featuring long white tablecloths and comfortable armchairs, immediately puts guests at ease. There are two tasting menus available, one with six courses and one with eight courses, as well as à la carte options and a business lunch menu for lunch. Delicious dishes include linguine with shellfish and almond emulsion, as well as button pasta with morel mushrooms, showcasing the chef’s technique and desire to execute a cuisine inspired by Neapolitan and Italian traditions, evolving with influences from Asia. A small masterpiece is the pappardelle with essence of Neapolitan ragu and wagyu beef cheek. The desserts are elegant and well-executed. The wine list features over a thousand labels. The service is impeccable.
