Bertozzi trattoria opened its doors some twenty years ago at the behest of its long-standing owners, Fabio Berti and Alessandro Gozzi, who are still at the helm of this establishment steeped in the local Bolognese tradition. Slightly off the beaten track from the city center, and with parking that can be a bit of a hassle, Bertozzi offers a menu firmly rooted in tradition, with handmade fresh pasta, cured meats among the starters, and classic homemade desserts. The tried-and-true dishes are a better bet than the off-menu specials. There is no wine list; wines are presented verbally, including by-the-glass options. The staff is courteous, though not always attentive. Fair prices.
